Shawl in action

The wedding shawl came in very handy last weekend when the evening turned slightly chilly and the bride was wearing a sleeveless wedding dress. It was big enough, which was what I was really worried about, and it looked pretty good.

All my flights to and from the wedding provided ample and blissfully uninterrupted sock-knitting time, as well as many interested questions and admiring feelings of the socks by the sock's fellow passengers. I finally turned the heel and finished the gusset on sock no. 2. We are on the home stretch! YAY!!!
