An equation for the production of socks

This summer, I have been doing ecology field work. My job involves riding in a car to and from our sites for about 3 hours a day. Now let's see: 3 hours, in a car, plus double pointed needles and yarn equals SOCKS!
-I finished the pomatomus socks, and if I had my camera with me right now, I would post pictures. I know that I made them, but I can honestly say that they look pretty darn good.
-I also made a baby hat and booties, with soft fuzzy pink yarn and white red heart yarn. They look super cute.
-I also started making stockinette socks for Jon. I made up a fair-isle chart for the VW logo and knit that into the cuff all the way around. They are knit in machine washable wool Daletta from Dale of Norway, and the heels and toes in Fortissima Socka, which has some nylon to prevent pilling and fraying. I am half way through the second sock already!
-Finally, I started knitting a sleeveless tank with lace detail in my many baby pink balls of Rowan 4-ply cotton. It's from Knitty but I can't find the link. I found the link: Isabella

Now it will just be hard to go back to my normal job where I DON'T get paid to knit. ha ha.

I can't wait to see all the socks. Hopefully we can catch up at knit night soon!
