Ice Cream Socks!

I finished my "ice cream socks" on Tuesday. They are named for Neapolitan Ice Cream! This is my first attempt at toe-up socks. They are knit using size 1 needles and Trekking XXL yarn. I used the instructions found in the Summer Interweave Knits by Ann Budd. I really liked the Eastern cast-on - far easier than using a crochet hook. Have I mentioned how much I abhor crochet hooks? My other hand feels useless with them! Anyway, since they are my first toe-ups, I chose to use a plain stockinette stitch. I am going to branch out for my next pair!
Socky goodness:

They even fit in my new Planet Shoes!

Obligatory front-view:

Love the socks!! :) I'm very impressed that you're able to make all the different designs! If only I had a fraction of that talent...hum.

So...tell more about this boy! I enjoyed your pictures from your trip to Durango. Hope you're doing well!
