Sandias at Sunset scarf

A few weeks ago I finished my feather-and-fan lace scarf, which I have dubbed the "Sandias at Sunset Scarf" in reference to the similarity between the colors of the yarn and the reflection of the setting sun on the Sandia Mountains. I really like it! The yarn (mountain colors 4/8 wool) is super-soft and the pattern was easy and looks elegant.

Valentine's Day

Yesterday was Valentine's Day, which up until now has been one of my least favorite days of the year. It's moving up! So, you may be asking, what did Jon do for Valentine's day that is causing its status to improve.

Chocolate?

Nope.

Flowers?

Nope.

Well, what then?

That's right. Snowshoes. I have wanted them for 3 years!!!! And he remembered, and got me probably the best ones out there. And that just confirms once and for all (as if it wasn't obvious before) that

is probably the best boyfriend ever. So there we go.

Snowshoeing, anyone?
